These are BY FAR the best I have seen. They are made of a durable, rubber-like material that has a nice tactile feel and can flex slightly (see pic). The text is very easy to read, not only because of the clear printing, but the lettering is raised and the name of the effect is printed around the circumference of the ring so you can see it no matter where you’re sitting at the table. The “Physical Effect” and “Magical Effect” markers make for good generic markers. If you look at the pic with the minis, you’ll see that they fit easily around 1” straight-edged bases, but if the mini is too large, the markers are light enough to hang without fear of tipping over. Cons? Some have complained about the case being flimsy, and they’re correct, unfortunately. You don’t have to treat it like a newborn baby, but don’t toss it around your gaming table, either. Forget the case, though. Even if they gave me the markers and no case, I would have paid an extra 50% because the ring material and printing is of such high quality. Is it a plastic like pvc or is it silicone?** A: Flexible rubber. As shown in the product images. **Q: Wondering if single status versions of this product will ever exist (5 rings of a certain status).** A: Doubtful because it would cost too much. I have found that you really need most of these condition rings! **Q: I'm confused what box does this come in at this point? The plastic one or the cardboard one shown in the first picture with the dragon?** A: Our condition set comes in our upgraded thick & laminated carton box with artwork by Ben Wootten as you can see in the listing photo's and video. Only our first couple 100's units came in plastic boxes which we have since upgraded hence why you see some reviews with photo's of product in plastic box. Some of these early units had grabbled instead of grappled as well, this issue been long fixed already so don't worry it's spelled correctly.
