Review: Excellent Support for Carpal Tunnel - I've been using this product for 3 weeks now and the pain/tingling in my wrist is somewhat better. This brace fits well and is comfortable to wear all night. The Velcro on the beige one is easy to pull apart. Surprisingly, the black one is more challenging for me to undo the Velcro, but it was not worth exchanging. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

**Q: how do you specify if its for a right or left thumb?**
A: You don’t specify right/left because this particular brace is designed to be worn on either hand.

**Q: Is there metal Supporting the palm of your hands? Or just the thumb?**
A: No palm support just thumb. And the wrap around the wrist leaves a lot for improvement. I would not recommend purchasing.

**Q: I have cmc in both hands.  will the vive braces immobilize both areas?**
A: Yes, and the brace can be used on either hand (left and right hands use the same brace).  The brace has a hard stay that runs from the end of the thumb to the basal joint and partially immobilizes the thumb, but you are still able to grasp things lightly with the thumb and forefinger.  Although hand usage is somewhat limited, there is no reason why braces could not be used on both hands.  Mine brought me a lot of relief and is very comfortable.  My doctor told me to use it every day for two weeks and then if pain subsided just use it as needed.

**Q: Why does this wrinkle when pulled tight?**
A: The ones I have used do not do that, however it could be that your glove size is to large for your hand and the extra material in the glove is somehow causing a wrinkle effect.  My hand is average size not large not small but again I have not experienced that with the Vive Art/Thumb Splint. Or lastly is it possible you have a defectively made glove splint??? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product but hard to take off

After being diagnosed with "Mommy's/Gamer's thumb," I actually purchased 3 products to compare. Eventually I settled on this one. Overall the product works great. It allows me to adjust for the width of my thumb and keeps my thumb from most of the strain. However, the velcro is extremely tight. I mean I have to really yank, to take it off (I'm a guy, who works out, hahaha). On the one hand, it's good to be tight so the brace doesn't just come off, but it can be a pain to take off, especially with an injured hand. You will have to take this off a few times a day, to wash your face, take a shower, etc... Besides that, it has held up. I've owned it for over a month and despite everything, it's still going. I personally hope to one day be done with this thing. If you are suffering from this same ailment, there are exercises online to help you move past this. Unfortunately, our medical system is more concerned with more ways to make money than to really help you. Case in point the fact that at the Orthopedic Doctor's a brace was $150 with Insurance, online these are $20 to $40.
