So far, hard to tell if it is really making a difference, or if simply using it to massage the scars is what is truly reducing them. My biggest complaint is the odor of this product. It almost smells like the paste we used to use in kindergarten! It is not a pleasant smell, and my spouse complains about it regularly. I would definitely not recommend using it if you were planning to be close to other people. It does contain many ingredients that are highly recommended to reduce scarring, so that is good news. If you can get past the smell I would recommend giving it a try. We went to the ER where they applied some cream, wrapped it and sent us on our way. We used Alocane burn for the next 3-4 days to help ease the pain and heal the burns especially where the blisters were popped and there was raw skin. 1 week after the burn was still very red and looked pretty rough so we thought we would try Alocane's scar gel since the burn gel works so well. He applied before bed and when he woke up the next morning the skin was pink instead of red. Each day he applies it before bed and it's getting better and better.
