I bought this to replace the old ear sock. I had no problems installing this with hand soap to lubricate the area. I would use a couple of kleenex to get a grip on the frame and sock so it doesn't slip during installation. Just grip it with your fingers and slowly work the ear sock in. Took about five minutes.
