Sound Science also markets another pair of speakers called the Frankenspiel FS-1 which have a slightly different decorative scheme and cost a bit more but they use the same BMR (balanced mode radiator) drivers as the QSB. Unlike the Frankenspiel FS-1 which is virtually impossible to run to ground on the American side of the pond, the QSBs can be had a little more readily although it still takes some effort. The volume and clarity of sound these tiny USB speakers produce is amazing. Everything--power and signal--comes through the USB bus so in addition to great sound you also get to reduce your cable clutter.
