Sn63/Pb37. Melting Point: 183C / 361F. No-Clean Flux. 88% Metal. Review: Excellent kit. Works great. - This kit worked great! Come with two nozzles and a orange sealing cap. All the nozzles and cap twist into place on the syringe to form a tight seal. The pink (fine tipped) nozzle was PERFECT for applying a fine line on SOIC or dots of solder paste for diodes/caps. The solder paste wets fast and creates a quality joint. I was using a 350C Weller DC station with a fine tip. Drag soldered the SOICs. Amazingly easy, fast work soldering the items in the photo. I used isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush to clean up residual paste. A 1mL medical syringe (slip the needle off the end) fits nicely into the pink nozzle for flushing the nozzle with alcohol. Would buy this again, but its going to take me a while to use up 15g of solder paste. Review: Works like magic - I love this stuff! Maybe I'm just super new to this thing and still hypnotized by how easy solder paste is to use, but I put a tiny bit on some surface mount chips and soldered them with my station, and all I can say is wow! As a novice in smd soldering I found this incredibly easy to get the hang of. I found that I was using more heat than I needed to do the job and over time I found a sweet spot for it. The solder reflows really well too once initially heated, the only drawback I found with the whole setup is the purple precision tip, you have to be a bit careful because it can build up some pressure and keep dispensing paste a little bit even when you pull the plunger back, but with practice it becomes less of an issue. Works great for SMD stuff. There was some air in the tube. Not sure how to prevent that, but it creates a bit of a buffer; when you press the plunger, it compresses the air. And then the solder paste comes out. When you stop pressing the plunger, paste still seeps out a bit. Not sure if that's standard or not. But it's annoying. Wish it had a nice cap. I just put a plastic piece I got from a test lead on the end, and it mostly fits. I put it in the refrigerator when I'm not using it. It did come with two tips. Seems to work Ok with the smaller plastic one.
