We put up with one of those plastic seat risers for several months and were constantly frustrated with its slipping off or shifting. It got close to being dangerous so hubby started looking for alternatives and found this. It’s heavy ceramic, just like the toilet base, and installs permanently with a wax ring below it, then a 2nd wax ring on top for the toilet base. It’s an excellent upgrade to our bathroom and makes it so much easier for Mom.
