Made from 100 percent DuPont nylon yarns, this Type AA twine is resistant to abrasion, oil, gasoline, rot, marine growth, and most chemicals. Twine is stabilized with special heat treatment to ensure the highest level of twist consistency, with minimum amount of unraveling, untwisting, and kinking.

**Q: Is there a variety of this that is more flexible for tying shoelaces than #60 Tarred? Or will they take more than a week to break in?**
A: I would not recommend using for shoelaces. It is sort of waxy or greasy.

**Q: does this stuff turn your hands black?**
A: I've used a lot of tarred bankline and it's never happened, although there is a slight stickyness if you run it through your hands a lot.

**Q: Is the higher the number the bigger the line?**
A: Yes, that's right.  #12 is a pretty thin diameter.  #96 is a lot thicker and stronger.  The factory sells it by the quarter pound or pound, so with the smaller sizes you get a lot more line per spool.
