All Khukuris have two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold a blunt steel called "chakmak" for sharpening the blade or for striking spark from flint and a little knife known as "karda" used for skinning small animals such as rabbits. What kind of angle did it have? Thanks in advance.** A: The blade was extremely sharp on arrival and well oiled. The angle is smaller than I anticipated and I had trouble sharpening it with a wet stone. At it’s wisest point, the top of the blade is almost a centimeter wide, thus the sharper angle. Because of the thickness and length of the blade it is much heavier than I anticipated as well. Perfectly weighted, and balanced, but heavy. It wasn’t until I became a bit stronger that I was really able to handle this knife. Although not relevant to your questions, out of the many blades that I have purchased this is my favorite. You won’t regret buying this for use, or display. Enjoy a finely crafted and gorgeous blade. Peace. The butt end of the handle is broken on the back corner and the brass plate is scrunched. I m going to keep it though, I don't know how long it would take to get it shipped back and forth. I will just keep it like it is. Also it's supposed to be EGKH like all my others. And it isn't. It's not what was advertised. This is the first time something like this has happened.
