Mine it was full extended as soon as I took it out of the packaging. I used to have very bad pain, I feel much better and it's just my first night laying on this mattress. I'm using at the moment, the white side, the soft one. Be careful, packaging is very heavy. Quite difficult for a lady to drag it on the stairs for example. 5 stars experience using this mattress. Arrived packaged in a box, and rolled in plastic and vacuum packed into a second plastic cover with a little instruction booklet and opening tool in a cardboard wallet - a nice touch. On opening the mattress reinflates / reforms to its natural shape. The instructions said it could take 72hrs but I'm fact mine seemed to be in good shape around 5hrs later.It is so, so comfortable. I love that it has 2 sides as I really didn't know if I needed a firm or softer bed - I've gone for the firm side and it's incredibly comfortable. I am so pleased with it, I've now ordered the matching pillows!Would highly recommend this mattress, it's great quality, looks great, feels great and even has a 100 day guarantee.
