It is a very good whitening agent and I have been very satisfied. Some of the reviews talk about burning and whitening of the gums. This is due to overfilling your teeth trays and the gel overflows onto your gums. Pretty much any peroxide gel will do this to your gums. You don't need to fill up your teeth trays. Put a smallish amount in the tray, and once you put the trays on your teeth, move the trays around a bit to spread the get on your teeth. After a few times you will get to know the right amount to use. I never have issues with burning/white gums or sensitive teeth. Just takes practice. Don't leave the gel on for more than 90 minutes. 60 minutes should do it.
