The Realme 6,Realme 6 Pro, Motorola G8 Plus & G8 Power were contenders, but I am happy with my choice. First let's clear up some "issues" . My phone's screen is clear and the brightness is fine in sunny weather. My screen doesn't have bleeding issues either. With regards to call quality, it is very good. Sound and speakers are all fine too. Issues with Wifi signals/apps being randomly cut-off are all due to MIUI 11 settings. The phone's software (Android 10 with MIUI 11) is very aggressive in saving power, cutting off apps and functions that it feels have been left idle. You just have to go into Android 10 developer settings to change this. The phone is large and well made, but not overly heavy. I have the 64gb model with 4GB of ram variant. The ram management is good and multitasking is easily handled. I have tested many games too and they all run fine at moderate settings. The phone is easily fast enough for the average user. Wifi/Mobile data/BlueTooth and GPS all work well and i haven't experienced any problems so far. You also get 2 sim card slots and a dedicated SD card slot. The phone DOES NOT have NFC. The amazing battery life is it's strongest point. The 5,020-mAh battery lasts over a day with ease and charge times are around 1h 20-30mins to 100%, but the first 50% is reached in around 30-35 mins, quick charge all through the USB type C port. Camera and video performance are all good too. The price of the Redmi Note 9S makes this phone one of the best value to performance phones around. Review: Wonderful 'phone - This new model is absolutely astonishing value for money. Very high quality build, five (yes five!) awesome cameras, latest Android. The battery life is simply unbelievable and it does everything and more that my Galaxy 9S does but at a quarter of the price. So what's not to like. Well ads; loads and loads and loads of them. They say the European model is less intrusive than the Chinese or Indian versions, but it is still very bad. Xiaomi clearly uses ads and bloatware as part of their business model. Plus their launcher, which they call Miui11 won't let you delete quite a few apps which drive you nuts with their endless ads. But this is NOT a reason to reject this phone. If the intrusive ads bother you (and they drive me mad) it is easy enough to download an alternative launcher. Microsoft has a great one (which is very well supported) from Google Play and replace the Xiaomi system apps with the vanilla Google alternatives. It only takes an hour or so then you have a stunning phone at a fraction of the price of the premium brands. If you want even more, especially a better camera, then 50 quid more gets you the pro version which holds its own against phones four times the price. However, the cameras on this model are more than enough to satisfy most users. ## Features - 16.94cm (6.67 inch) DotDisplay, 2400 x 1080 FHD, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 front and rear. - Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor, 2.3GHz frequency, Adreno 618 graphics processor. - Ultra-high capacity 5020mAh (type) battery, USB type C, supports 18W fast charging and comes with a 22.5 W fast charger in the box. - Rear camera: 48MP ultra high resolution primary camera + 8MP ultra wide angle camera + 5MP macro camera + 2MP depth camera; Front camera: 16MP en display. - Dual 4G SIM, supports 2 + 1 card slot, nano-SIM + nano-SIM + microSD (512 GB expandable), side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B085WB24LR | | Aspect Ratio | 16:9 | | Battery Average Life | 28 hours | | Battery Average Life Talk Time | 33 Hours | | Battery Capacity | 5020 milliamp_hours | | Battery Description | Lithium-Ion | | Best Sellers Rank | 127,878 in Electronics & Photo ( See Top 100 in Electronics & Photo ) 4,888 in SIM-Free & Unlocked Mobile Phones | | Biometric Security Feature | Fingerprint Recognition | | Box Contents | USB cable, [other components are possible] | | Brand | Xiaomi | | Brand Name | Xiaomi | | CPU model | Snapdragon | | CPU speed | 2.3 GHz | | Camera Description | Rear | | Camera Flash Type | no flash | | Cellular Technology | 2G, 4G | | Colour | Aurora Blue | | Connector Type | USB Type C | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 8,018 Reviews | | Display Pixel Density | 393 Pixels Per Inch (PPI) | | Display Type | LCD | | Flash Memory Supported Size Maximum | 64 GB | | Form Factor | Smartphone | | Frame Rate | 24-60 fps | | Front Photo Sensor Resolution | 16 MP | | GPS Geotagging Functionality | True | | Headphones Jack | 3.5 mm | | Human Interface Types | Touchscreen | | Item Dimensions | 16.6 x 7.7 x 0.9 centimetres | | Item Weight | 209 Grams | | Manufacturer | Xiaomi | | Material Features | Durable | | Maximum Display Resolution | 1080x2400 | | Memory Storage Capacity | 4 GB | | Memory storage capacity | 4 GB | | Model Series | Redmi Note 9S | | Model Year | 1 | | Network Connectivity Technology | USB, Wi-Fi | | Number of Front Cameras | 1 | | Number of Rear Facing Cameras | 4 | | Operating System | Android | | Operating system | Android | | Optical Sensor Resolution | 48 MP | | Phone Talk Time | 33 Hours | | Processor Series | Snapdragon | | Processor Speed | 2.3 GHz | | Product Features | internet | | RAM Memory Installed | 4 GB | | RAM memory installed size | 4 GB | | Rear Facing Camera Photo Sensor Resolution | 5 MP | | Resolution | 1080 x 2400 | | SIM Card Slot Count | Dual SIM | | Screen Size | 6.67 Inches | | Shooting Modes | Automatic, manual, automatic timing, automatic aperture | | Sim Card Size | Nano | | Specific Uses For Product | Entertainment, Games | | Supported Satellite Navigation System | GPS | | Video Capture Resolution | 1080p | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Wireless Network Technology | GSM, Wi-Fi | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Xiaomi - **CPU model:** Snapdragon 720G - **CPU speed:** 2.3 GHz - **Memory storage capacity:** 4 GB - **Model name:** Redmi Note 9S - **Operating system:** Android - **RAM memory installed size:** 4 GB - **Refresh rate:** 120 - **Resolution:** 2400 x 1080 - **Screen size:** 6.67 Inches ## Images ![Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 4G 4GB RAM 64GB DS Aurora Blue – Germany, France, I... - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51feMkOZWTS.jpg) ![Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 4G 4GB RAM 64GB DS Aurora Blue – Germany, France, I... - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51PLCj1Cc7S.jpg) ![Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 4G 4GB RAM 64GB DS Aurora Blue – Germany, France, I... - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51bd+JDR19S.jpg) ![Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 4G 4GB RAM 64GB DS Aurora Blue – Germany, France, I... - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51esQl73AIS.jpg) ![Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S 4G 4GB RAM 64GB DS Aurora Blue – Germany, France, I... - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51CnM289tIS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size, Version For Country** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this a uk phone with a uk plug?** A: Yes **Q: dual sim?** A: The Redmi Note 9s Devices we sell are Dual Sim.. but I'm not sure about other vendors..
