They have all performed well, but this one is brighter and ran all season long on a single set of batteries. Planning to use it again next year. The simple design is great and easy to operate in the dark. It's either on or off ....the red filter is built into the inside of the unit and can be rotated in front of the lamp to provide any percent red / vs white light that you want.....or 100 pct red or 100 pct white.I only turn on my headlamp when walking from to the river and back to the car.....or when I hook a fish .....but we are in a nature preserve several miles long & no artificial light anywhere......so this piece of gear is critical. It has to perform flawlessly.....not fall off, easily turn on / off as needed and stay put. It has to be comfortable. I have owned about a dozen different lamps and most have a quirky design that doesn't quite work "right". This UK unit I have no complaints or anything that I would change.Never had any problems with it whatsoever ......and I've been in heavy rain with it and dunked it a couple times in the river. It's a dive light, so it's built to be in the water and capable of taking some abuse.....very well designed / very well made.
