You have to strain the paint when pouring it in to the reservoir. This will fix the problem. I bought a metal food strainer for two bucks and it works great. I go for hours (painting my house) without having to stop. **Q: I am painting my cabinets white using semi-gloss paint for trim and doors will that work with this sprayer or is this used more for stain?** A: This should work with paint, but the paint needs to be diluted. I used my to paint wood panelled walls with white latex paint and it worked wonderfully. It takes a few tries to figure out the best dilution. I also found that I needed to keep qtips handy to clean the nozzle every once in a while. **Q: can I use this for Plasti Dip?** A: Of course. There is a video on YouTube they were using It. **Q: will this work with using paint with primer?** A: It should work fine. I used it with primer, latex paint and oil base enamel paint.
