Review: Saving grams is expensive... - I'm a big fan of road tubeless and I rarely need a tube. But I'm not so dumb that I'd go on a long ride by myself unprepared for some sort of tire failure. Considering I spent thousands on a lightweight carbon road bike, I wasn't going to add unnecessary grams with a cheap tube. So I overspent and bought this one. It weighs almost nothing, rolls up into a tiny little volume, and hopefully I'll never need to use it. I assume it holds air, I haven't tried it. Note: If I was not riding tubeless, I would not use this regularly in my wheels. It is very lightweight, but tubes get punctures and are prone to failure. These are too expensive to use and risk everyday. But in a spare kit, to get me home after a flat, this is perfect. But then I'd take it right out and put it back in my saddle back for the next emergency.
Review: Weird, but light tubes! Worth it? We'll find out. - This is a weird tube! They are really light and compact. The orange color is pretty awesome. Installing them is when the weirdness comes out. The tube doesn't really expand much when air is added. It's plastic feeling and doesn't have much give. None of this really impacts installation. The ride is okay. I typically use latex tubes. These tubes don't ride as smoothly and they seem to have a bit more resistance (this is all anecdotal). They are lighter, but the difference wasn't as noticable as the change from butyl to latex. They hold air really well! I run about 60-70 psi. After a few days, barely any air has escaped. This is a pleasant surprise, especially when compared to latex tubes (which quickly loss air). After 1,000+ miles, I've had zero flats. I did order the special patches for the tubes, so if I do get a flat I can patch it. Are they worth $30+ each? That's a tough question. If they last longer than one season, yes. If they go bad sooner, no. Latex tubes typically cost about $20 and last maybe one season, so it is a wash in comparison.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I need 80mm valves but these look like they come with extenders instead of original 80mm valves. Not a good idea with hollow carbon wheels.**
A: I have hollow carbon wheels. The ones I've received have long 80 mm valves. The newer ones I've received have extention valves. Which function the same. But with a caveat. If the valve is loose when you unspent them, the valve comes apart inside the tire. This hasn't been an issue, but that issue does exist. Love the product though. Small, light and super durable.

**Q: The valve stem on Tubolitos seems to have a wider diameter than typical and doesn’t fit my pump. Anyone else have this issue?**
A: Usually there were no issues with the diameter of the stem and the pump before.

**Q: The product specifies tire width 18-28. It in Tubolito web site the width of the road tube is 18-32. Do you have the new tubes with wider size?**
A: At the moment only 18-28 width are available. We will renew the assortment in the near future.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive but worth it!!!

I discovered Tubilito after having a horrible experience trying to go tubeless. Tubiltos make several claims and I can now back them up. They literally are 1/3 the weight of regular tubes I weighed them for myself. They are also lighter than the sealant in a tubeless. They seem to be at least as durable as anything else. I either have gotten lucky with no punctures or there is truth to the claims of being more durable, but knock on wood I'm going on half a year with no punctures. Not only that you can literally have 2-3 in your bike bag taking up the same amount of space as a regular tube. Last thing, they roll very close to tubeless and noticeably better than tubes so you aren't losing much, if anything, there.
