A shame because the included spout does not allow for a smooth pour. I loose about a gallon of water when trying to pour from this beast. The 2.5 gal is better. The desciption says spigot, but the picture is of a spout??** A: It comes with just a spout, not a spigot. You can cap the spout with the included cap, and then for actual transport, you take the spout off and it stores upside-down inside the mouth. It all works pretty well, but no, no spigot is provided. **Q: Good for drinking water?** A: I used it to transfer water to my Travel Trailer while "Dry" camping. The water was ultimately used for drinking. So, Yes.
