The boots were fairly comfortable from the start, and have gotten more so as time went on. I did replace the cork insoles with insoles that don't have a high arch. The only thing I negative I would say is that the leather really scratches or marks up easily. I guess you can look at it as adding "character" to the boots. Beyond that, the price I paid was a little steep, but that's what a pair if decently made chukkas cost these days.
