These are adjustable n you should be able to adjust them to fit your door **Q: Hi, is it suitable for external use (I mean installation on the outer wall of of the garage)?** A: Hi, The ones i've got appear to be powder coated, in which case they are probably OK outside. Keep them wiped with an oily rag to keep rust at bay would be my suggestion.
