Review: Very Pleased! Perfect for our RV Screen Doors! - This EPDM B-shape weather strip is excellent! I am so glad that I took the time to carefully research the width, height, and compressibility of this B-shape EPDM rubber weather strip. It is the perfect width for our RV screen door jam and it easily compresses from it's normal height of 5mm to 2mm filling air gaps nicely. If you follow these few guidelines, it is very easy to firmly apply in a nice straight line: 1) Insure the surface you're applying the weather strip to is perfectly clean; wipe it with alcohol just before application. 2) After getting an inch or so firmly applied, pull about 6 inches of the red adhesive backing strip loose to expose the adhesive strip and create a slight bend (see pics) and apply the weather strip in a rolling manner... keeping a bend. and pressing it down in spots to secure it as you go. 3) * IMPORTANT * Don't pull or stretch the weather strip as you apply it. Doing so will compromise the adhesion because the EPDM rubber strip will then always be under stress - working to shrink to its original length and form with warming and cooling cycles - and eventually the adhesion will fail. 4) Only pull about 6 inches of the red adhesive protective strip off of the adhesive at a time; don't let it become too long as you apply the EPDM weather strip. It's easier to work with that way. Stay neat, snip off the red strip after it gets about 2 feet long. 5) After you've applied the weather strip, use three finger tips or your thumb to press and release the entire length of the rubber strip to insure the adhesive is securely bonded to the surface it's applied to. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: How would i remove the old weatherstrip?  peel, scrape, and use some kind of solvent to get the glue?  acetone?  paint thinner?**
A: Try softening the old adhesive with a blow dryer to make removal a bit easier.  Pull gently and then scrape with something that won't damage the window (hard plastic scraper, or metal used carefully). As a less chemical-based method to remove adhesive residue, you can try Goo Gone (which uses orange oil) or plain old white vinegar (although this is drippy), after you have removed most of the solid material.  Using Goo Gone will require a second step of cleaning to remove any oily residue prior to applying new adhesive.  For a really thorough cleaning, an all purpose cleaner like Fantastik can be followed with wiping with alcohol.  Goo Gone is sold everywhere, about $4-5 for a small spray bottle and the texture is slightly thicker than liquid, so it stays put better.

**Q: Will this fit my 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup**
A: Should have no problem.  I bought two of the two packs for my Ridgeline and have some left over.

**Q: Will this work on outside doors in hot, high humid conditions?**
A: Yes it work perfectly in any weather conditions

**Q: I saw it can be used on a door of a house. Does that mean I can use it on the windows of my house?**

This EPDM B-shape weather strip is excellent! I am so glad that I took the time to carefully research the width, height, and compressibility of this B-shape EPDM rubber weather strip. It’s a great product, it actually reduce the noise coming in my car, I also had a water leak every time it rain I always found water on the carpet on the passenger side and now that is raining again I havent found water coming in and my cars carpet is dry!
