Review: Better than the official originals. - I got tired of paying $80+ for official Converse All Stars only to have them fall apart after six to nine months. I even tried the more robust “70’s” series with the same result. These sneakers are affordable, have that same great Converse style, fit great, provide the same support as official All Stars and come in some great colors. For the price I don’t mind they only last about a year (still longer than “official” Converse All Stars) and it allows me to afford multiple colors for multiple styles. You get a lot of quality and durability for these $25 sneakers and in my experience they not just are more affordable but actually last longer than their Converse counterparts. **Q: Has anyone used these for scuba diving or water activities?  Do they hold up ok in the water?**
A: I recommend the Altama maritime shoes. They're designed for use in salt water and will hold up much better than regular chucks due to their kevlar construction. They're a bit more pricey and sizing is tricky, but I just picked up a pair and aside from the color choices, they're perfectly comfortable. Just for reference I'm a size 12.5 in sneakers and the size 13's fit perfectly. The 12s were a bit short at the toe.

A: You only have to size up with the new platform high top Converse. These are true to size

A: These shoes have only men sizes. What a size 8 female translates into a man's size shoe you should know. I wear size 12 and ordered size 12, and got a perfect fit. These shoes make walking a pleasure, and my feet love them. No more need be said!

**Q: Are these sturdy like chucks for gym use?**
A: They are NOT QUITE as sturdy as real Converse. With that said, they are a FRACTION of the price. I walk 2 miles each morning and they are comfortable and appear to be holding up well.
