Well structured yet lightweight shoes
My husband was looking for another pair of shoes for his work as a contractor and while outside on our raw land. I was able to score these through the warehouse returns at a great price and it was a blessing that they fit perfectly. He LOVES these! He has some ankle issues from injuries when he was younger and these offer the structure and support for his feet that he was looking for. He's told me multiple times how great these are compared to the lack of support in running shoes, etc. We'll definitely purchase these again when the time comes. They're durable, comfortable, and all around great shoes from a great brand.

a good start
An early and avid Keen shoe wearer, I vowed never to buy a pair of Keen shoes again. This after having two bad new Keen shoe experiences some ten years ago. Never say never. I hike a lot and thus quickly wear-out hiking boots. For this reason the decision was made to "go cheap". A pair of Propet men's Ridge Walker boots were purchased a little over a month ago. What a mistake. My feet howl in pain. Since Targhee 3 has solid reviews on reputable review sites, it is back to Keen.So far so good. After a couple of weeks of breaking in and my first hike of 9 miles, this is what is learned:- The shoes are stiff, breaking in takes time. This is not necessarily bad however. The build appears solid.- The soles have little cushion, inserts are in order.- The toe box is nice and wide.- My feet liked the change, the first hike was a pleasure.- The shoe laces are 48" and barely functional. This raises the question: If Keen is willing to cut corners in such an obvious place, what other corners are cut? Having too short shoe-laces is not wise.- Cloth loops are used instead of buckles, not a fan. The top ones appear less than sturdy.

They last
I have wore these shoes for over a year they have been in mud, water and on concrete floors in that time 7 days a week the only reason I'm retiring them is because the upper lace hole that is fabric finally disintegrated I will keep to work on out side projects as they are still in decent shape and don't have holes in them .

Great Hiking shoes!
This will be my third pair. My previous pair held up for over a year and a half and hiked all of Coachella Valley and Idylwild Deer springs Trail to Suicide Rock plus was my daily shoe most of the time. They are water proof and comfy! The girls say they look nice too. 😊 Thanks for sending them in perfect new shape and speedily.

Great shoe
I bought these for hiking/walking and really like them. They have a hard sole and it works well for uneven terrain, trails, or paved roads. I’ve owned many Keen products and they do not disappoint.

Excellent shoes with caveats
I do a LOT of walking, much of it in urban areas but also on trails. I have heard about the KEEN shoes for years, and I finally got a pair late in 2023. (The pair I purchased more recently from Amazon was to replace that earlier pair.)The news is mostly good. They are very comfortable shoes, and I especially appreciate the roomy toe area. The uppers are solid and stand up to mud and water — I've used them for long walks in rain. The thickness and stiffness of the sole is just right for me — not too stiff for the urban walking, but providing enough cushion and stiffness for hiking on trails, including somewhat rough trails. The little loop at the heel is actually useful when putting the shoes on. The lacing system is straightforward and effective. The shoes were comfortable right out of the box and remained so.I would like to mention two issue that buyers should be aware of. First, like many similar shoes, the removable cushioned insoles are not very durable. After six months of use or a bit less the fabric on top of the insoles began to wear and I had to replace them. More concerning to me is that the soles wore down significantly after six months, to the point that all of the heel tread was gone and a hole revealed the underlying (and less protective) inner foam layer. Unfortunately, the soles are not replaceable. In fairness, I walk a lot and I do wear shoes out this way. But do be aware of this if you purchase this shoe.

My feet are overjoyed.
Since the owner of a Mens' apparell store introduced me to Keen footware, there is no turning back. The quality is great and they keep that quaility after many kilometers of use.
