This is the perfect solution. This thermometer also stores previous temperatures so you can track changes (nice backup to my written chart). This thermometer does both F and C and can be used on objects as well as people. Very pleased. Had a small hiccup with the first one but customer service was beyond amazing (thank you Rochell!). Definitely feel that it's a great value and was a good decision to purchase this item. Customer service is FANTASTIC!

**Q: where is this product made?**
A: It's manufactured in China for iProven.

**Q: Looking for a thermometer to read in Fahrenheit not Celsius**
A: This does both

**Q: how do you change from C to F?**
A: The factory default  is Fahrenheit, so I did not need to change anything.  But these instructions are from the booklet itself but I tried it to be sure it works and it does..... Long press the SET button, press the MODE or MEMO button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, then press the SET button to confirm the setting.

**Q: Is the reading accurate? does it need calibration?  also can you use this on yourself? works on adults and children i assume?**
A: Yes, the reading is accurate, it does not need calibration.  I use it on myself all the time, as it works on adults and children. I really like it.

This infrared thermometer is absolutely perfect in almost every way. It’s incredibly easy to use, quick, and very reliable—right up until the batteries start to run down. ​The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because of how it handles low battery power. Instead of warning you that the battery is low, it just starts giving inaccurate temperature readings while the battery indicator still looks fine. As long as you keep fresh batteries in it, it works flawlessly! Everything else about it is exactly what we needed, just be mindful to swap the batteries if the readings start acting a bit strange.
