I thought this was weird, but after some research, I discovered these RAMs have a class III bumper-hitch. You just need to mount the receiver (this item) under the bumper. Everything was straight forward and simple. Took me 20 minutes to mount. The only iffy thing is that you’ll need a 1/2” hex-bit socket and a torque wrench that goes up to 320 ft-lbs. My largest torque wrench only goes to 250 ft-lbs. So, I did everything I could and brought it over to a mechanic buddy to torque the main bolt to the required 320 ft-lbs. So far, I’ve pulled 2 cargo trailers ~ 2000 and 3000 lbs and a vehicle transport with an old D150 on it ~ 5000 lbs.
