You will have to cover each end with a bit of fabric. The teeth are nylon so you can cut them with scissors. There are videos on Youtube that show how to add the zipper slider. I usually put on all the sliders I need for the entire length of zipper tape first. I can always remove any I don't need later. Next, I move the first slide to within the length of zipper I need. At the bottom and top of the length, I hand stich across the tape then add a bit of FrayCheck or plain white glue on top of the stitches and below or above. This reinforces the stiches and stops the area I will cut through from fraying. After the glue dries, I cut across the glued area with scissors. The result is a zipper that is held together above and below with stitches that I can zipper either way. I encase both ends in fabric so I don't see the stitching. **Q: Is the red zipper tape a true red or an orange-red? Your competitor's is orange-red but you both display the same picture.** A: It's the red tape on the picture, but it's not as red as Chinese red. **Q: Can this tape be used with 2 pulls, pulling in opposite direction?** A: I can't remember if the teeth on this is nylon (probably) then it can be cut to desired length and yes, two zipper pulls can be added going in opposite directions. **Q: is this a separating zipper that can be used for a jacket?
