The housing is a substantial extruded block reminiscent of high end amplifier heat sinks. It's almost too nice to mount onto a vehicle in an exposed location where the fins will capture dirt and bird poop. I was impressed by the very sturdy mounting bracket and hardware. The bolts appear to be stainless steel but they are not, it's just a plating that makes it look so. Light output is very good. I haven't exposed them to rain yet, so I can't say how well sealed they are and this would be the only potential negative if they are not sealed well. And for the price, hard to beat! I ordered two spots and two floods. They came in different packaging but both sets were in perfect condition when arrived and seemed to be shipped securely. I used them on an LED light bar that went through my bumper (see picture) so I could have the center two spots on a switch one way and then all four on the switch the other way.
