I recently found out that an old friend (yet young woman) passed away and left two young daughters behind. I wanted to send something to them for Christmas and thought of this beautiful angel that I bought years ago. They arrived today, beautifully packaged, in a lovely little box, just as I remember it. For the price, I think it's a wonderful gift, high quality, heavy and beautiful. Along with a book with the story of the waterbug and the dragonfly, helping to explain how our loved ones can continue to look over us from Heaven (look it up online - it's a tearjerker) I'm hoping this will be a comforting gift for these beautiful little girls on their first Christmas without their beautiful mother!December 28, 2011: I've been buying my sister an angel ornament every year at Christmas for the last 20+ years. I wanted to get her something small and personal for Christmas so I thought it would be a good idea to add my own angel to her tree! This ornament is as pretty as in the picture and was well made. It is a little heavy, but as long as you find a sturdier tree branch, it will hang with no problem. It is also packaged nicely so all I had to do was wrap it! The materials it is made out of look like it should be more expensive than it is, so don't let the low price deter you!
