In addition, having injected (or PoE) power keeps the cabling easier and clean while making it easier to cold boot the access point. NOTE: for those who are not aware the Cisco AIR-PWRINJ3 is the economical way to add PoE to those Wireless Access Points (WAPs) that already have the power supply. So the proper Cisco power supply (or equivalent) is required and is not included with the unit.
