Talens Blockprint Talens Blockprint is a fast-drying opaque paint that has been specially developed for stenciling and stamping techniques, such as wood carving and lino-gravure (also known as block printing or woodprinting). The bright colours are lightfast and can be diluted with water. Hands and utensils can be easily cleaned with soap and water after use. talens drawing ink Versatile deep black drawing ink for drawing pen and ink drawings, watery drawings and covering large surfaces. Black drawing ink for drawing, calligraphy and airbrush work. Made from very solid pigments and shellac. Its maximum pigmentation gives beautiful and intense results in black. Dilutable in water. Once dry, it is resistant to it. Suitable for many types of surfaces, such as drawing paper (technical), cardboard, polyester film and tracing paper. Apply with a pencil liner or watercolour brush. Talens Ecola Tempera Talens Ecola tempera is a paint with great coloring power, specially developed to help you learn to mix colors. The paints are opaque, easy to use and can be diluted with water, which means that hands and brushes can be easily cleaned with soap and water after use. Ecola is available in convenient glass jars and larger flexible canisters. Talens watercolor Color materials for painting and drawing, made especially for children, use at home or at school. Products such as Panda, Wasco and Ecola, which can be used in many techniques. They can be applied separately or combined with each other. Talens Panda Oil Pastels Talens Panda soft oil pastels are widely used by children, both at school and at home. Panda oil pastels transfer color easily and have paper wraps to protect hands from stains. These vivid colours can be used alone or in combination with various techniques, such as tempera, watercolour and the so-called Ecoline repellency technique. Try adding Talens opaque black on top of Panda oil pastels and scratch off the surface once the paint has dried to reveal the colors underneath. Talens School Tempera Talens Wasco wax pastels Talens Wasco wax pastels are widely used by children, both at school and at home. Thanks to their water-based formula, these waxes are hard enough not to break easily in children's hands, while still being gentle enough to effortlessly transfer vivid colors. Paper wraps protect your hands from stains. These brightly coloured waxes can be used alone or in combination with other techniques, such as Ecoline, for the so-called repellency technique. Review: Well made sketchbook with smooth paper - This is a sturdy little book that carries well with its rounded corners and wipeable cover. The paper is smooth like Hot Pressed and off white cream coloured. The pages have rounded corners too. It’s stitch bound in signatures and opens completely flat (after the outer lining papers which are glued to the first and last signatures). Ideal for ink without bleed-through, I’ve used fountain pen, fine liner and brush pen happily. Watercolour is a bit marginal -the 140gsm paper holds the water on the surface for a while (no texture and I’m guessing surface sized) and buckles quite easily. Once wet, the paper is very fragile and prone to scuffing if overbrushed. That said, at this size (12x12cm) it’s still useable for line and wash if you don’t go overboard with the water. At the price it’s an ideal book for quick sketches and it can tolerate light watercolour washes, wherever those fit into your practice -even if it’s just to get you into a daily sketching habit. Review: Nice Quality - It's well-made and great for my doodle art. I love the colour, size and paper thickness/texture. No bleed through for fine lines with Uni/Pigma pens, but a bit of bleed through/shadow with thicker pens/brushes. This doesn't bother me enough to fault it, as it's fine once the other page has been doodled on, but it might to others. Oh & alcohol markers will defo bleed through and be a two-for-one image.

This is a sturdy little book that carries well with its rounded corners and wipeable cover. The paper is smooth like Hot Pressed and off white cream coloured. The pages have rounded corners too. It’s stitch bound in signatures and opens completely flat (after the outer lining papers which are glued to the first and last signatures). Ideal for ink without bleed-through, I’ve used fountain pen, fine liner and brush pen happily. Watercolour is a bit marginal -the 140gsm paper holds the water on the surface for a while (no texture and I’m guessing surface sized) and buckles quite easily. It's well-made and great for my doodle art. I love the colour, size and paper thickness/texture. These are my favourite little sketch books, the paper is very smooth and thin but good quality. They work well to use with posca pens with very little bleed through. lots of pages, great for travel to slot in a pocket or a small bag. The cover on mine is still pristine even after being taken on a lot of journeys. It's really good value.
