Does clog with hair frequently but small price to pay .

It was coming from around the valve, not up the middle, so I put the second gasket on top of the first. Three more loads and no leaking so far. The drain opening is 1 5/8".

I'm a professional plumber and I'm currently renting a real nice place all except for one thing the landlord used someone who didn't know what they were doing when they remodeled and they didn't install a p-trap in the shower, if you know anything about plumbing you'll know this keeps out the sewer gas from coming into your home. I knew he was to cheap to jackhammer out the newly remodeled shower so I found this little gadget and for all intensive purposes it does a fantastic job.
