I’d probably save this for when she’s 8 or 9, and honestly it is so cheaply made I doubt she’d be able to learn the basics. **Q: Does the item have reverse stitch?** A: Hello, this sewing machine does not have reverse stitch. **Q: Does this go Backwards for stitch locking ?** A: NO **Q: The instructions are a bit confusing. The needle gets stuck, the thread bunches up SO easily whether you're on fast or slow settings, the stitch comes apart within a second/is not properly stitched and it's just so so so bad. I needed something to do simple stitches with like fold over a sleeve or hem pants that were too long and it cannot even handle the most simple things. I waited too long to open it and try it after receiving it so I can't return it anymore but I wish I had opened it sooner so I could've. This isn't good for a beginner or simple fixes or anything. It's literal garbage that can't even sew 2 inches of a thin piece of cloth together. If I could give this 0 stars I would.
