## Description

Fully illustrated introductory pamphlet to Ed Parker's Kenpo Karate. Originally published in1967. Shows basic stances and short form 1. by Ed Parker and Tom Gow. 19 pages.

Review: It’s like an original booklet - Oh I laughed when I seen this, but was awestruck when I pulled it out of the well shipped envelope, nice one thing hardly anyone does these days, as I carefully got this booklet out I noticed it’s nostalgic looks, what a blast from the past. Wow I love the fact that it’s Ed Parker’s face on the booklet, just 19 pages, from the cover to the introduction of Kenpo, some Chinese weapons aka hands, stances with Ed Parker then cont, stances, Basic blocks, blocks cont, punches, kicks, with pictures!! then it shows the short form 1 on the very back of the booklet, yes with pictures!! Didn’t know that, Nicely done, if only Ed Parker Sr had more time I think he would’ve updated his books with more visual pictures and more of the basics following into the more advanced techniques of Kenpo. My collection is complete now. If there’s another author on Kenpo and has books like this or more Ed Parker’s style Kenpo with visual aids it would be a lot better for the students. Always searching for knowledge what matters stays, whatever else flows away. Thanks again
Review: A neat book to have - Like the title says this book is neat to have but is not like the five volume Infinite Insights series. It is very thin at only 19 pages including the back cover. It goes over basic movements like stances, blocks, punches and kicks. The pictures and text reveal it's age as well. Since it was written quite a while ago (1967) it shows how Mr. Parker was explaining Kenpo at that time. That being said it is a nice book to have if you are really interested in Kenpo. Think of it as more of a historical piece rather than a reference book. All in all I liked it but I enjoy reading older texts to see how things have changed over the years if at all.
