Review: Getting back into skating as an adult, and these are working well... - I'm just getting back into skating after 20+ years. Still a beginner but was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and function of these skates. I skated as a teen in Riedells -- lovely skates but too narrow for my feet now. They've widened since having kids, and Jackson's padded boots (and going up a half size) were a much needed upgrade. Our local blade sharpener was out sick, so I didn't get them sharpened before the first lesson, but the blades were already sharp enough for beginner-level stuff on the ice. (I don't recommend anyone trying that, but kudos to Jackson for not leaving them as dull as rental skates.) My first lesson back was a lot of fun and I can't wait to keep going!

I just started learning beginner spins and jumps, and these are the perfect skates for that. They are SO comfortable (and cute) and fit true to size. Also provide great ankle stability. I do recommend getting them sharpened before taking them out on the ice.
