You can easily set up a schedule for the plug on the app and/or use Alexa to turn on or off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don’t give up and click the radio button that the blue light is blinking when you get stuck. *by D***G on Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2020* I purchased these WiFi Smart Plugs b/c they DO NOT require a home hub (separate controller purchase) in order to get Alexa/Google Assistant to ‘control’ them. Like other customers the EZ mode didn’t work for me and I had to switch to use the AP mode to ‘recognize’ the plugs in my WiFi network. I feel this will be a common hurdle for most so I suggest just starting off in AP mode. It’s a lot like how you setup your Alexa speaker in the first place (use the Smart Life app to give the app your WiFi network credentials and then you directly WiFi connect to the smart plug in your WiFi network (available to join) list.)A second sticking point in the process to ‘recognize’ each smart plug is that after the 2nd step where you hold down the button for 5-seconds to initiate ‘pairing mode’ and the blue lights flash quickly...on the 3rd screen the Next button (see pics) won’t highlight and allow you to click it unless you tap this bubble radio button to add a check mark and then you can proceed thru the process. I was stuck at this point for awhile and nearly returned the units until I accidentally brushed by finger against this bubble and it checked off and I was able to proceed. The GUI could use some tweaking so that this step is more obvious. But I’ve shared pics to help anyone who’s reading this review.Once it’s setup it’s a breeze to connect to Alexa or Google Assistant, and works flawlessly after that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reliable & Easy To Use *by M***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2020* These Teckin smart plugs are super simple to set up. With the Smart Life (Tuya) app installed it took under 2 minutes to register the plug and sync it with my Google Home Mini for voice activation. "OK Google...Turn on the Desk Lamp."These plugs will support a maximum load of 10 amps or 1200 watts, so they are well suited for use with most any household electric appliance / device / light. They seem well made and more than likely they will work fine for many years to come. I have had similar models of these switches running for 2+ years with zero issues. I feel confident I won't need to use the included 12 month warranty that came with these Teckin switches.The Teckin plugs can also be used out of the box with the free Home Assistant software, without any flashing of the plug firmware. The available Home Assistant Tuya integration allows you to connect these switches with other smart devices in your home and get them to work together. A prime example is if you have a motion sensor in your bathroom and a light connected to your Teckin switch, you could write an automation to trigger the plug to turn on the light when motion is detected in the bathroom and then switch it off automatically after 10 minutes.
