Installed them in about 10 mins on top of my kitchen cabinets. Did not however have a chance to use the 3M sticky backing. All of the light modes and controls work fine. The custom settings are pretty great! It is pretty bright (can be dimmed down) enough to almost work as a sole light in a small room if positioned correctly. Even with my kitchen lights on you can see the lights. I attached a picture of them in my kitchen. All of the lights on the first floor are off with this strip being the only source of light. They are a touch brighter in person than the picture shows.
