It works really good and very bright. I took it down to 80 feet in a night dive. It was scare for me as everything is dark. Fortunately, I have the help of my diving partners and this flashlight to guide me. This light has a fairly focus beam. We went to 3 more night dives and this works flawlessly. It is even brighter than the Pelican flashlight of my instructor and my teammates. They also asked me to bought one for them. Underwater, the beam is nice and focus. Night dive is so much more fun than day dive. I guess it works well underwater because it has a convex shape front glass. On land, it has a wide beam and good for reading and general purpose light source. The battery life is very good.
