The Challenging: Low-resolution images necessitate a viewing environment that is totally dark. In a Nutshell: Kids will love projecting movies and video games outdoors and on bedroom ceilings! This kid-friendly projector projects movies, video games and more. The projector is lightweight and compact, so you can even project on the ceiling. The EyeClops expands video games to larger-than-life sizes. If You Can Plug It In, You Can Project It The Eyeclops puts big-screen projection capability in the palm of your hand. The projection stand features a convenient belt clip in addition to a portable battery pack that provides approximately 270 minutes of projection time -- more than enough for an outdoor screening! The Darker the Room, the Clearer the Image Whether you're projecting a film on the ceiling of your bedroom or a video game inside of your tent, the key to a clear image is a dark environment. Kids will find that even a little daylight makes the screen dim and blurry. For best results, the projector should be positioned within several feet of the projection surface, and all light sources should be covered. Because the Eyeclops' on-board speakers may not provide the same quality of audio that your home speakers do, the projector features a mini-jack audio output that allows you to connect it to headphones or external speakers. Additionally, while standard RCA cables (not included) are sufficient to connect most devices to the Eyeclops, certain media players and handheld devices may require special connector cables that can be purchased separately. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Mini Projector
*by G***B on January 29, 2010*

I bought this projector for my self about a month a go, and it has worked out fairly well for me. I attend a college where allot if not just about all the rooms have projectors so when I saw that I could get one, that was under hundred( or 50 for that matter) I though it was a great idea. I already under stood it wouldn't be the same quality one like in the classes room so that wasn't so much an issue. It does need a pretty dark setting like every one says, but who want a movie "night" in the day time anyway. The focus does work fairly well, even watching movies of lower quality wasn't to bad on it. Although if you are some one who watch's allot of movie or shows with subtitles you may have an issue. I tried to watch one show and although the focus was good to watch the Image the subtitles where still fairly blurry. You would either have to bring it closer to the your surface(which would make it small and defeat the purpose) your on or make the subs bigger. Which I couldn't do.My setup for this is usually either on my celling, which is texture but wasn't to much of an issue for the animated movie I was watching. It was fuzzy and it took me a bit to realize it was the celling texture and not the focus, but it was cool after that.I also sometimes put up one of my big 2XL T-shirts on the window with paper clips, and close the blinds. I've even just projected it on a wall above another TV in my apartments common area, which has fairly big windows, but at night it was no problem. I connect it to my Archos 5 Portable Video Player Device and connect my mouse to it and sit on my bed an watch it. I have yet to get it to with my computer due to the old RCA standard on it, and it may not really be worth it but that's my next goal, to play games with it.This product is great for those who just want to project something and watch it and are not to concerned with quality. If you don't already have a big screen TV(40",50",60"++), I would suggest this as a possible alternative. I would almost consider the this a novel idea or toy alternative to the real thing but it can be a pretty good cheap substitute.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent Tiny Projector
*by S***N on April 18, 2010*

This will be a mostly technical review. I had the Jakks EyeClops Mini Projector in my shopping cart for a couple weeks before I finally purchased it on Amazon. I bought it when it had gone down to 60% off, I figured, what the heck. It is a very small projector. The actual projector is 3.5" x 3.5" x 2". Yeah, it's that small. It's got composite in (yellow/red/white), a volume control, a headphone jack, a DC in, a focus control, and a single "on" button. It's resolution is 320x240. It makes a little bit of fan noise when it's on.This projector is not bright, I don't know the lumens, but it's not bright. If you have a dark room, it'll go 7-8 feet, don't expect more. If it has to compete with ambient light, that number goes down fast. I can lay on my bed and project on the ceiling from my computer, very comfortable for watching videos off hulu, youtube, etc... As I mentioned, resolution is 320x240, to put that in perspective, normal standard def TV is 640x480, so it's "half". Not horrible, not great. The projector's throw (D/W) is 2. That is, if it is 2ft back from a wall, it'll make a 1ft wide image. The color of an image produced is not completely consistent. 3 of the 4 corners are tinted with the LEDs creating the image. That is, a white projection will look white in the center, a bit red in one corner, blue, and green in two other corners. This effect is evident with images of solid colors, but for normal video playback, it's not that bad, you barely notice it.It has a standard tripod threaded socket on the bottom, but there is a layer of plastic below the threads, so some tripod mounts may be too short. It comes with a mount, though, that attaches to the huge battery compartment. Sure, you could plug it in, but where's the fun in that? Instead of the 4D batteries it recommends, I use a smaller 4xAA enclosure from Radio Shack that I wired to the correct DC jack. With 4 2500mAh NiMH rechargeable AA batteries I get about two hours of portable use. You should be able to get a cable to go from your iDevice to this projector online for under ten bucks. This is a small, inexpensive, durable (I dropped it the first day, still works fine, but it is, after all, a projector), and convenient projector that can be powered with batteries with a low resolution and low lumens that is fun for hobbies/projects, novel ways of showing videos and slides, and can probably stand up to kids well (not personally tested). It is not the home entertainment projector you want in your living room : )Personally, I love mine and am considering getting a 2nd, I mean, how can you not??

### ⭐ This is a worthless item
*by D***D on November 4, 2011*

This review, is posted on Friday November the 4th of 2011, for anyone out there who is thinking on buying the eyeclops mini projector.Do not waste your money, do not even consider this item, so many bad reviews online, and a whole bunch of bad ones in here also, it would be nice if AMAZON would post all of the reviews when the clients are shopping, I usually read reviews before buying, and did not saw any of the bad ones, I work on sound and video, I just got this item today, and no matter what I have try it just doesn't work.I would not even bother returning this as is not worth the aggravation of the return process, Amazon, should take this piece of junk OFF the inventory, so no one else waste their time on items like this.Again, do not buy, this item does not works at all.. hope that helps. ho sorry when I say don't work it doesn't work mine is just didn't not work, some people I read online have been able to make it work for an hour or so, and the picture is just terrible, again I read online. On top of that the website to whom the item is belong to, does not even have it on their website. so please you might pay a little more but stick with the good ones, hp's dells' and lg, to mention some.
