Unfortunately the one we got only works when it is plugged in to the charger. Which basically makes it useless b/c I can't clip it anywhere and I end up having to hold it and I might as well just be using the speaker function on my phone. And unfortunately for me I waited too long to test it out b/c now I can't return or exchange it. If it did work when not plugged in, this would be a very different review b/c the two times I used it it had a great connection and sound.
