For what you pay, this book is alright. It does have several previews of the author's other books in the back. The information on each crystal is short, and she only covers a small selection of very popular or powerful crystals. There are no photos, which is a little bit unhelpful. However, my biggest criticism of the book is the clear lack of editing before it was published. The author's wording choices made me wonder if English is her second language. Additionally, there were typos or grammatical errors on almost every page. Even though it's a very inexpensive book, I would say you're better off saving your $2.99 and buying a more comprehensive guide.

Crystals and Healing Stones is a really great introduction to the powers of all natural crystals. My daughters have found a passion for this and I'm just learning. And this book has inspire me to want to learn more!It's informational, well written and offers great insight into the powers with these healing stones.I really enjoyed learning from this book and you will too! Well Done!

For free, and for an absolute novice, it's a good introduction to minerals. There were a few typos. Face it, it's about crystals. I would certainly look up Michele Gilbert's other books to see if she really wants to write an entire book on agates. But if you do Michele, pictures are a must.
