This 10 lb. box of Dark Recipe Claxton Fruitcakes is great for my 80-something year old stepfather who is still working overseas. Eating this delicious cake gives him fond memories of his childhood. He eats it especially when he is feeling homesick or nostalgic for the USA. having 10 cakes in a box means he has more of this cake to enjoy especially since he can't get it overseas. I am glad I can order this on Amazon.com since I can no longer find it in local grocery stores not even during the Christmas season.

I was able to purchase these 10 lbs. of delicious cake for the small sum of $39.00 , making each box so inexpensive @ $3.90 , that I ate a pound a day for 10 days, loving every calorie .The Dark kind is less expensive than the Regular / white kind, probably due to the fact that there are more raisins in the Dark mix and less Cherries, but the blend of nuts is equal and the taste is great.Buy in bulk to save money and to give as gifts. Remember the old joke about getting or giving Fruitcake to someone is THAT, an OLD JOKE. The taste and quality make this a welcome gift for any occasion.
