So, the assessment of battery life has limited data.This replacement has the same model number and specs, but does not have the Razer brand stamp. I don’t know how to install this without it rubbing against the sides of the Razer, but I think this is a Razer cavity problem, more than a problem with this product. This product also comes with a foam block on top of the connector, which at least in my case, I had to scrape off in order to get the Razer case to close. (The original Razer battery also lacked the foam block, and in fact looked like it had been scraped off). No problem with having an EXTRA foam block, though, just remember this when you’re puzzled why the case won’t close after replacement.My system is a 15” Razer Blade Studio Edition from 2019. Almost exactly a year after purchase, we noticed the computer would turn off when we disconnected the power. At first, you think it just wasn’t charged, so we didn’t track it down. Then weeks later it would only charge up to 3%. So, I started the do-si-do with Razer Support. My unit is out of the one year warranty and even if I purchased the two year, battery issues are excluded. So, it’s a $99 evaluation fee, then labor and parts, and backup your laptop because it’s coming back wiped. Ugh!In one newsgroup, someone pointed me to a bunch of articles about Razer batteries lasting just until the end of the warranty period. I don’t know if it’s quality control problems, and just some batteries are worse than others, or if the real problem is that a powerful laptop will heat up the battery so hot as it discharges that you just do a lot of unwitting damage. My experiment with this battery is going to be to change the Windows Power Settings so that AC has max performance, but Battery has max battery life.So, buying this and doing it yourself gives you a temporary reprieve from their backend revenue generator.When I mentioned the cavity issue, it’s like Razer really jammed this battery in. At least in the 15” Studio Edition, their battery was held in by FIVE screws not six. I didn’t get a picture, but I had a hard time getting the old battery out because the corner that should have the sixth screw was instead taped from underneath with that really sticky black double sided tape. And, you have to be VERY careful taking out an old battery because a rupture is not your friend.When I went to put the new battery in, I noticed some of the tabs for the screws to go through were bent. These are easy to fix/flatten with pliers, but I had some uncertainty whether the battery came with them bent, or that was my handling. It arrived in a small box with black foam wrapped around the top and bottom, but there were also some broken white foam peanuts that perhaps were intended to keep the battery from sliding out the sides of the black foam and crashing into the sides of the box.Getting this in was a very tight fit. I put the blade edge (right edge) in first, because this was also the side opposite the double stick tape corner. But, the top and bottom edges of the battery still rubbed against the Razer mobo and case side as I pressed it in.Oh, while you have the bottom off, take the time to clean up your fan exhausts. At least those with the heat from a discrete GPU, like the Studio Edition, are moving so much air that these were virtually clogged, like a clothes dryer lint screen.If you have a T4 screwdriver (and a really small Phillips for the battery screws), you can probably do this. It came in great packaging and battery is working great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Replacement Laptop Battery *by M***. on Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2022* I purchased this battery to replace a defective battery in a Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2019 Laptop. The battery is a perfect exact fit. It had great packaging and good instructions on breaking the battery in (most people overlook this crucial step). I spend most of my time with the laptop plugged into AC power. When I'm on the go the battery gives me about 4-5 hours of use on a full charge (if I'm not pushing things). I'm very happy with the new battery, and I would highly recommend the OUWEE brand.The old laptop battery I replaced was just over 2 years old and was bulging badly. So much so that it was deforming the touchpad, keyboard, and laptop case. Razer support was not helpful. They know they have an issue with these batteries failing prematurely and refuse to stand behind their product. A quick search reveals just how widespread the problem is.If you're not comfortable opening your laptop to replace the battery, there are many YouTube videos that will guide you through the process, it's easy and you just need to take your time and be careful with things. The Blade laptops machined aluminum case comes apart nicely/cleanly, and you don't need to pry things apart like some laptops with plastic cases. Hopefully, this review is helpful for someone.
