He's been wearing this as a regular accessory (we only take it off when he bathes to wash it). The materials and quality are great and helping him walk is a breeze. You can adjust the height of the handles to fit your arm. (I'm a short person so this is pretty convenient). This vest is also a lifesaver because otherwise, we wouldn't be able to carry our overweight dog up to the van. The velcro of this vest is also very strong and won't decay with use. My only minor problem is that this product is shipped from Germany and they send it via regular post mail (which is efficient in many countries, but since we live in Mexico we had to wait about 2 months between the purchase and the reception date).My dog has been using this vest for about 2 years and he was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia. However, I have run into a couple of little snags with this product. The straps on the harness aren't quite long enough. I'm 6'4" and I have to lean over to support my dog. Additionally the end of the straps are not sewn back to themselves This allows the clasp to occasionally slip straight off the strap while you're supporting your dog. I pulled out my sewing machine and fixed this. And the clasps have not slipped off since. Lastly, I can't leave the harness on throughout the day. It rubs on my dogs armpits and has caused chaffing in there if left on to long. The Pfaff staff is very responsive to customer's email. I needed the carrier ASAP and emailed to the Pfaff with my situation. The carrier was shipped within a few hours of my order with a follow up email from the Pfaff. It's shipped from Germany. The carrier is simple to use, provides nice cushioning. The edge of the openings for the arms is stretchable soft and will not cut the skin. The whole carrier is reinforced all around to support the weight of the dog. Unfortunately my dog passed away before he could use it. The Pfaff is very understanding and made the return very easy. I donated the carrier to local shelter and they refunded me within a day.
