Water is grey after 4 washings.** A: Because Barley is a starchy grain. This is the best Barley I have ever found. I soak mine for several hours before cooking. I have never found a problem with this brand. It is the starch you are seeing. **Q: Ive been making homemade muesli cereal. In the directions it said i could put barley in it along with the oats. Is this barley edible raw?** A: I think for muesli you need rolled barley flakes. It looks like rolled oats. The pearl barley would be more for soups, or possibly cooked porridge. **Q: Can I simply add this to my beef barley soup without soaking first? Thx** A: I did that and it was fine. Helps thicken the soup a bit too. **Q: How do I delete order of Geffen pearl barley** A: You go to the little shopping cart icon on tap it then you can enter '0' and should cancel order. Or just call Amazon ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ nc *by D***S on 12 August 2025* very delish ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff *by A***R on 18 March 2026* Goes great in a stew ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Value *by T***Y on 22 January 2026* Exactly as described & delicious! ## Frequently Bought Together - Gefen Pearl Barley Total of 3 Pounds, Premium Quality Pearled Barley, Product of The USA, 16oz (3 Pack) - Iberia Bulgur Wheat, 24 oz - Iberia Dry Lentils, 12 Oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/212903364-gefen-pearl-barley-454g-pack-of-3-premium-quality-pearled](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/212903364-gefen-pearl-barley-454g-pack-of-3-premium-quality-pearled) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
