I kept one box to try myself since it was in a two-pack. I've made waffles with these a few times now and have a couple of notes for how best to use them. I have the Cuisinart Classic waffle maker and found that when I made these the first couple of times, they didn't get crispy at all and stayed pretty soft. The most recent time I made them, I used a lot more coconut oil spray on the iron (like three coats instead of one) and that helped a ton in terms of getting them to be crispy on the outside, more golden, and release from the iron easily. Before that, I was having to use a spatula to pry the waffle away little by little. Now it's working much better and I can appreciate the ease of the mix. I've also added in other things a couple of times, including pecan pieces and blueberries. A very good mix. Still not quite as good as making waffles from scratch, but when I don't want to put the effort into brunch, this definitely does the job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product- have patience, dont give up. *by S***H on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on March 20, 2020* For all those who are ready to give up because the waffle came out messy , undercooked, dont give up , have patience. The key is the waffle mix to water ratio.It's better to use the dry and wet measuring cups to get the right ratio as indicated on the box. Second thing, heat setting on my cuisinart classic waffle maker should be turned all the way to 4 or 5 and needs to bake for extra time too.Anything less than 4 or 5 setting will be undercooked or runny.Third thing, if you did receive mix which is hard concrete like blob, do not trash it like I did. Apparently this is normal due to vacuum seal, just need to open the seal and massage the pack a little bit to turn it to powder.It took a while and lot of wasted mix for me to get it correct.I will order again , there are not many companies making vegan waffle mixes, and no matter the initial setback, this is a great mix.Just need a little patience and do some trial and error.Once you figure out how to get it right , this is a great tasty product, I would gladly purchase again .Thanks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I make amazing waffles with this mix *by N***A on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on November 5, 2017* I don't understand the reviews. I make amazing waffles with this mix. I add bananas and walnuts and everything turns out delicious. I have to let them stay in the waffle maker a little longer than with other mixes, but they turn out perfect. The mix is thick, compared to Kodiak Cakes, so I freestyle with the water to mix ratio. The Kodiak Cakes mix cooks a lot faster and of course produce more traditional looking waffles, but I prefer Surprisingly Vegan. I've also tried Pamela's Buckwheat mix as well. It's not my favorite, but it's a decent alternative.
