You can easily have a conversation while they are wearing these, but louder noises are blocked out. Sometimes I wear them myself and I love them! We have three pairs! **Q: My son wears glasses. Does anyone have a child who can comfortably wear these over glasses for at least one hour?** A: I can say that if I were to wear ear pro like this while wearing glasses, it would feel uncomfortable. Not impossible, he may be able to make it an hour. **Q: What’s upgraded about them?** A: I believe from looking at mine, there was metal inside of the foam cushion that sits on top of the child's head to help keep form.
