Any suggestions?** A: I purchased my 2 cup 6990 Bialetti Cappuccino maker in 2012 for black bottom. The cow design index 6995 is still available on the web. Otherwise, this cappuccino maker has been discontinued by Bialetti which is unfortunate. It worked just fine for me ever since I purchased it. Well, at the beginning I had about two unsuccessful attempts with slight leak but I did not give up on it, it was new I gave it the chance, and learned what works. I viewed video that came with the purchase, always used the right espresso coffee not too fine grind. With taken it part once, only to clean it, and making cappuccino twice a week on average, this cappuccino maker worked like a charm ever since with nice generous foam. All I had to do is to remove the valve after it cooled off and rinsed it turned upside down so it would spray water from the spout of the valve while water is running into the inner side of the valve. That is the sign the valve is clean knowing it had been rinsed thoroughly. I will then allow it to air dry, and place the valve in the coffee maker once completely dry. I have a gas stove and use a six inch heat diffuser that I also purchased here on Amazon, we can use whole, 2% cow and goat milk for cappuccino and any variety of non diary like almond , hazelnut and coconut milk for a latte, and coffee is ready as advertised in four minutes. I have to have a nice wide French style coffee mug ready because the foam is ready to be poured once the foam comes up and it is nice generous foam. Since 2012 I only had to clean it once, and it worked since without having to remove gasket. But that needs to be done once in a while. I would not recommend to use vinegar since this is polished aluminum unless you purchased the stainless steel. Aluminum does not like vinegar. I would just clean it with a non scratch cloth, rinse it well, and dry it with the towel, with additional air drying, each part separately. Once completely dry, then we can reassemble the unit and put it away. There are two types of valves I have noticed and the one that has an of white looking rubber inside the valve, did not make cappuccino for me, so far. If you have that type of valve, I cannot advise on that because I simply replaced it with original Bialetti valve designed for this 6990 and 6995 Mukka Express. These valves are still available here on Amazon. I myself purchased an extra two or three which I did not have to replace, yet. Rinsing it with technique I described above after valve is cool, is sufficient. **Q: Hello it wanted to know if the product is new and if it has BIaletti's guarantee. Thank you.** A: It is still in production. As is noted on the manufacturer’s website. **Q: The water would not go up, it leaks. I tried without coffe and milk, it worked fine, water went up. But when I put coffee, disaster! Help!** A: The coffee grounds must be wiped away from the edges of the cup holding them-otherwise a seal won't be made between the top & bottom. Also, do not pack the coffee -- it won't allow the stream to penetrate & will cause the pressure to build , causing the leaking & pressure valve to steam outward. Also, make sure you use espresso grind only. Important: make sure the top & bottom are tightly screwed together. That will also let the steam leak between the pieces. Press down the top button, if you put milk in for cappuccino. This isn't a fast process, but it's good. Just keep your instructions nearby for a bit. **Q: Will it work on an induction stove?** A: It is made of aluminum, so no.
