I use them in different parts of the house. One is downstairs, one is in the master bedroom and one is outside. **Q: Is this sensor waterproof? Or do I need to shelter and protect it if placed outside?** A: It is waterproof, although the instructions suggest you put it under something like an overhang or under a tree just so any direct sun exposure doesn't throw off the readings. I've had mine hanging from a branch under a pine tree for over a year without any problems. **Q: Sensor stopped working when I placed it outside. Seems it is not water proof ? What is the warranty on this ?** A: Operator error. It is not waterproof. The literature never claimed that it was. The sensor needs to be placed under an eave or some cover to keep it out of the rain. I have it under an eave an it works perfectly. **Q: How do I remove the cover of the remote sensor? They are excellent, accurate, and easy to use and set up.They are not waterproof, so you do need to shelter them. One of mine got very wet and quit working. I took the battery out, let it dry out and it worked fine again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This does work with Model FJ3378. Wayne Koch, what you failed to do in your video is to press the down pointing triangle on the main unit for 3-5 seconds to get it to rescan for a transmited signal from the new unit you purchased.I ran into the same issue but when I read the manual closely, it states you must press the down pointing triangle for 3 seconds to restart the receive transmission signal. I did this to add another sensor to my exisiting setup and set it for channel 3, pressed the down triangle for 3-5 seconds, then pressed the transmit button on the new unit and almost immediately the new units temp/humidity showed up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Time, temp, humidity, all in one.
