No more bugs or spider webs! *by A***F on August 31, 2025* These actually work! I have a bare bulb I leave on all night. Typically it attracts lots of bugs and therefore lots of spiders weaving webs to catch them. Immediately I noticed a dramatic lack of bugs. The moths aren't as much deterred but it works splendidly on everything else. Typically the webs form all around and above the lights. I've had it up for a couple months. It's the height of spider season now in September and typically I'd have webs everywhere around and above the bulb but I only have one and it's far below, which probably has more to do with the convenient corner location than the light. That's about 90% less spider webs than usual! The color of the light is a really pleasant warm temp I prefer over the cool LED I had before. Very happy with my purchase! Highly recommend replacing all your outdoor standard bulbs with these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just Installed; Have An Orange Tint (that is OK) *by I***C on January 26, 2024* So far the lights are working well, but they have only been installed for 3 weeks. The purpose of my review at this point is to mention the color of the bulbs. Some of the reviews mentioned these bulbs have a different color than yellow when they are lit, which is true. In the first photo, my "old" bug light is mounted on the ceiling (yellow tint). The two wall-mounted lights are the new bulbs (lite orange tint). Living in South Carolina the daily temperatures are cold, so there are no flying bugs around the lights. I will see in the spring if the new bulbs are better at NOT attracting bugs or whether the new "orange-tinted" lights are better. These bulbs are brighter than my "old" yellow bug lites.One of the items mentioned for the characteristics of this bulb is that it is the LED that produces the tint and not the cover of the bulb. The ads say this is more effective in not attacking bugs. In the 2nd photo you can see the "white" top of the new bulb. We'll see if this characteristic is more effective than the bulbs with the yellow colored tops.Aug 2025 Update: Two of the bulbs have started to flicker. They typically are left on from dusk to dawn everyday so about 9 hours a day, or 5400 hours for the 20 months. I believe this is pretty good as compared to other bulbs. However, I bought them to replace a pair of bug lights that had been working flawlessly for over 4 years! I need lights on the back corner of my garage to illuminate the back yard at night. Normal lights attract bugs that I periodically have to clean off the garage wall. Ugh! Years ago I installed bug lights that were perfect. When they finally died out, I tried to replace them with duplicates. Unfortunately, they stopped making them and started making ones that look like normal light bulbs. Why? Who knows. Probably some executive who thinks people will only buy bulbs that look like the ones we have used for decades before led bulbs. Anyway, these new ones work all right.
