Review: Absorbency and comfort without much fuss. - I got one of these for a parent having nighttime incontinence issues after an injury that required physical therapy. The wicking fabric definitely works as advertised, pulling moisture away from the body to ensure overnight comfort, while the backing prevents leakage to the sheets and mattress. It's still intact after several wash-and-dry cycles, and definitely beats cleaning a mattress by a country mile. The one issue I have is that with the 34" width, it's a little bit easier than it should be to get the pad at least partially out of position if someone moves around a lot in their sleep, especially if you use it as pictured (which is how we've been using it, since it doesn't come with instructions). It's still a quality product, but it's not 100% foolproof.

I really needed a reliable waterproof layer for my cot due to medically induced night sweats and an non air conditioned room; but specialty fitted waterproof sheets are out of my range for the size that I need (25x75-in). Instead, I built this perfect system using three items.I start with an Olee Sleep 4-Inch Tri-Folding Memory Foam Topper (25x75). Over that, I place this SPRINGSPIRIT 34x76 Hospital Bed Pad. Rather than relying on a standard thin sheet layer, this pad utilizes a heavy-duty 4-layer design. The quilted top quickly absorbs and disperses heavy moisture internally into a thick fiberfill core, while the premium waterproof base completely blocks liquid from reaching the mattress. This multi-layer absorption provides significantly heavier fluid protection than a standard single-ply sheet.I secure it all with a Yarns of Cotton 25x75 Cot Fitted Sheet right over the top. It fits flawlessly, stays perfectly flat, and is 100% silent with no plastic squeaks or crinkling sounds. As a bonus, if I sweat and want to help dry the area without doing a whole load of laundry, I use a cheap handheld cordless electric air duster to blow air right on the wet area.
