It’s a premium collectible that brings cinematic authenticity and intricate detail to your Weta Workshop miniatures collection, perfect for fans and collectors seeking to embody the epic legacy of the LOTR films. ## Description Winner of seventeen Academy Awards, The Lord of the Rings was brought to the big screen by New Line Cinema and directed by Peter Jackson. Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films. It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.Once the head of the Order of the Istari and a truly great and wise Wizard, Saruman the White fell into darkness and became an agent of evil during the War of the Ring.Too long he studied the ways of his enemy, believing that in better understanding Sauron’s nature he might discern a means of victory. Using one of the lost Seeing Stones of Númenor, the Wizard sought to spy upon the Dark Lord, but was tricked into communing with him through the polished black orb. It was a contest of wills that Saruman lost.Lured by promises of power and dark thoughts of his own mastery, Saruman fell from his purpose and abandoned his allies. In his arrogance he believed himself capable of usurping Sauron’s place. Even as he did his new master’s bidding, the corrupted Wizard plotted a second betrayal. Yet in doing so he overreached, for pride and lust for power had blinded Saruman and the Eye of Sauron perceived his treachery through the lens of the palantir. The downfall of Saruman, once the leader of the White Council, was doomed to be written in blood.Expertly sculpted by Gary Hunt, a member of the original Lord of the Rings crew, Saruman the White will make an excellent addition to your Weta Workshop miniatures collection."Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth."- Richard Taylor - CEO & Co-founder, Weta WorkshopAges 14+Height 7.44"Country of origin: ChinaDownload All Assets*Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. The price point of $64 is well worth it, and it’s a great edition to the other weta statues in my collection. Review: Decent, but not for the price... - It's a decent little statue; I love the pose which gives a perfect Saruman silhouette. However, the paint applications are a little sloppy, particularly on the face, which is a real shame. Not bad, and looks nice enough on the shelf from a distance, but definitely disappointing when compared to the product images. If this were a $50 statue I'd rate it at about a 3.5, maybe a 4 if I was feeling generous, but for the $100+ they're charging, it just doesn't make the grade. ## Features - Expertly sculpted by Gary Hunt, a member of the original Lord of the Rings crew, Saruman the White will make an excellent addition to your Weta Workshop miniatures collection. - Dimensions: 11 x 18.9 x 11 cm - Hand painted figure made of polyresin - Ideal as a gift for The Lord of the Rings fans - 100 percent good product ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B088MKNJ95 | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (59) | | Item Weight | 1.52 pounds | | Item model number | WT860103037 | | Manufacturer | Weta Workshop | | Manufacturer recommended age | 3 years and up | | Product Dimensions | 4.33 x 4.33 x 7.44 inches | | Release date | December 31, 2020 | ## Images ![Polystone - Lord of The Rings - Saruman The White - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/614V6QDa9NL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are these suitable for an outdoor garden?** A: It's made out of polyresin. We haven't tried how last will long on the outside. Depends on the weather conditions. If it doesn't get direct sunlight all day long and it's sheltered from the rain it'll probably last quite a long time. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little statue at a good price *by G***A on June 8, 2021* I couldn’t pass up this likeness of Christopher Lee’s Saruman the White.
