But if you want it flash to the grass then you could butt it up next to the grass. But needs to be pinned to the ground. Wheels of mower runs over the edge well either way. **Q: is it strong enough to withstand using a strimmer to edge the lawn around it** A: It is absolutely amazing stuff, and very strong. I have had mine quite a few years and the strimmer does not affect it at all. It is expensive, but well worth the money. I have been taking old rusty metal borders up to replace to this as its so easy and maintenance free.
